Beware: Unlocker 1.8.7 bundled with adware/spyware/junkware

To bad it doesn't work on Win7 x64, Ive been using LockHunter on x64 and it seems to get the job done without any problems

 

It works on my Win7 x64 partition, no problem.

 

Hmn wow, it installed, It didn't want to install on vista x64 for some reason, so I figured it wouldn't install on my new 7 x64 either, or maby I was trying to install an older version from one of my freeware software archives? who knows


EDIT: No I take that back, It installed, I needed it just now, but their is no context menu shortcut, and it did not appear when I tried to delete a locked file, so their is no way to run it, which makes it useless. I see what happened, it wont happen again. FTW

I'm behind'em. Peeps place too much faith in these so-called "advisors" - it's obvious there's plenty of fear to go around.

 

My Norton also get crazy ...He detected the Installer version of Unlocker 1.8.9 as Suspicious.ADH , but when i downloaded the latest portable version i found it clean..i mean my Norton 360 didn't pop up...But with installer version it got crazy.

 

+1. I never had any issues with Unlocker and I continue to use and recommend it.

There's no malware to say but it does have Adware because of the ebay shortcuts which is pre-checked! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adware also http://www.calendarofupdates.com/updates/index.php?showtopic=16109&st=0

But I still use it I just uncheck ebay shortcuts and install and it works very well!

Unlocker is great, always has been. The ebay thing is easily dealt with, and no biggy.
