Was just flipping through the AV-Comparatives paper (on demand detection). Got a question. What changes do I have to make to my NOD32 3 setup to get highest detection (96%) as opposed to 93%?

    I don't understand the 'set A & B' settings that AV-Comparatives refers to.

    Hello!

Set A = malware from September 2005 to November 2007
Set B = malware from the last 9 months

You get the maximum detection with enabled all scanning options (advanced heuristics, potentially unsafe applications, etc.).

but that would be a big hit for performance when enabled in real time scanner. wouldn't it?

Running Vista 32-bit on a Quad Core with 4GB RAM. I don't see any performance problems or slowdowns. :thumb:

I've found default to be adequate this time around.

But if the highest settings don't cause problems, why not use them :p

    Hello,

yes, if real-time scanner is checking file packed with packers. Then you should disable Advanced heuristics.
