OK. I will use that one for awhile, then I don't have to try so many as you did. :)

Have to say that I have always used Foobar (dull to look at but very light and excellent sound) for audio and VLC player for video, but have just tried Zoom Player and am extremely impressed so far. Fabulous sound, seems to play anything I throw at it and looks pretty good.

I used it a long time ago and liked it too. But it was heavy on resources. Is it still the same?

Seemed fine on my machine, I must admit. No slowdowns at all.

Media player classic is my fav. It does everything i need, doesn't give me any problems and its free! Plus it comes in a nice, convenient codec pack that is regularly updated.

well i used both winamp and jet audio. I found that jet audio has better sound quality than winamp. thats not all, it has various amount of options while playing audio and video like video converting(not every format)mp3 cutting besides that it has options like alarm and timer to exit it or shutting down windows or hibernate, standby. So its only player i have installed no need of other player.
For new version jet audio 7 and skins, http://media-play.org.
jet audio is my universal player.

been reading great things about JetAudio here. just one question though to those using JetAudio: Are you speaking about the JetAudio Plus, or Basic which is free?
