We are the champions, of the Tux. So let's vote for bestest of the best. Starting with, an article reviewing the best Linux distribution with the KDE/Plasma desktop environment of 2019, with focus on aesthetics, ease of use, stability, and long-term support. Have fun. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/best-kde-plasma-2019.html Cheers, Mrk
"So let's vote for bestest of the best" So where do we vote ? If someone doesn't want to setup Arch then my vote is Manjaro, second would be KDE Neon.
Manjaro does a lot of things right including recognition of identity loyalty with a zillion custom wallpapers. Problem is it’s rife with update issues and almost every requested client system I’ve installed has fallen over because of it. So if we’re including stability it has to be something Debian based such as the vanilla deal, Q4OS or Neptune. Q4OS gets my vote because it's LTS and comes without the bloat although putting it back in is quick and painless.
Yep Q4OS is real stable, might just be the most stable of all distro's as is Debian but, Q4OS and Debian are stuck with old versions of KDE-Plasma lacking bug fixes and feature upgrades the new version KDE-Plasma have. Q4OS is the easiest distro to install of all the one's I've tried. My main desktop is Arch KDE-Plasma, its been stable for years and I always have the latest & greatest KDE-Plasma offers. I do have Manjaro on a laptop and its been good but not as trouble free as Arch in my use.
Regarding Kubuntu 19.10 On my Dell OptiPlex 3060 with SSD and i3, copying large files, emptying the trash or flashing a drive using balenaEtcher slows the desktop to a crawl or freezes it altogether until the process completes so I wouldn't vote this as 'best' for anything.
