Hi as its a new year I would like to check on what you guys think to be the best software for file and folder backup. Do Acronis and Macrium Reflect still hold a place in the top list? What are your top 5?

My favorite file/folder backup apps are GoodSync and SyncBack. Same ones I've used for years.

My images are made by Clonezilla &/or Image for Linux.

I also own &/or have loaded Active@ Boot Disk, Active@ Disk Image, free Macrium Reflect and ShadowProtect (boot disc only for ShadowProtect.) I don't like them as well as Clonezilla or IFL but they are basically ok except for ShadowProtect. (The cross platform version of ShadowProtect is horribly slow. To the point I refuse to use it!)

syncbackfree to mirror data to external HD.
HashCheck Shell Extension to check for integrity (bitrot).
Bitsync read-only secret to mirror data to remote server.

I forgot to mention that I use FreeFileSync for syncing.

On Win 8, "File History" works very well, you can have it to save new files every 10 minutes if needs be.
