we all went and got some lunch and took it back to this huge....
really nice park they have there.
We called him 'French Fry Bird' ​

Yeah, we had a great time!! The Topeka Zoo is sooooo cool!
I love it because its so small and all the animals are close together....
and they have it arrange so well that you can mostly see all of them.

You sure don't have to walkkkkkk for daysssss to get through the whole thing.
We were only there for probably 3 hours and we saw the whole zoo!

Yeah, I think, it rained for about a 1/2 hour.....oh maybe, an hour.

Okkkkkkkk...

So, I took the kids to this celebration called Old Shawnee Days. It was kind of a festival....carnival thing. The city of Shawnee, Kansas was celelbrating its 40th b-day.

Anyway, they had all these different kid activities going on. And all these different little silly contests.
Soooo....this was the hula hoop contest.

Sam didn't last very long...but there were these 2 girls that kept going n going n going. They even tried to make it harder for them like making them hop n skip n touch their toes.....it was funny.
