Been hijacked:please help!

I recently have had problems for the first time. I'm getting about:blank for a home page. I used ewido and came up with 27 trojans the first scan and 9 more the second time. I tryed to download spywareblaster and it comes up with an error. I'm also not sure how to protect myself from all these holes in my system. oh and i have downloaded spybot but have not used it yet.
Please help!

 

Been hijacklease help!

I followed your instructions and ran spybot then hijackthis. My home page keeps coming up as about:blank. The spybot came up with 307 problems and it said it couldn't fix 11 of them. When i restart my computer i get a runtime error and my creative folder comes up too. It never did that before. I obviously have alot of holes for hijackers to get in and im not sure how to close them because i've never had a problem till now. I got alerts saying something about malicious script and also alerts from norton about trojans.

I have merged the 2nd thread you started that contained the hijackthis log with this current thread. Please do not start a new thread, but stay in this one for all replies/posts.

You are also missing the top portion of the log. Please rescan with hijackthis, and copy & paste the entire contents of the log. We need to see that top portion that shows the Running Processes along with the section that shows the Operating System, version of Hijackthis, version of IE, and the date & time of the scan.

Download and run: CWShredder
Use the Fix button and follow the instructions you will receive.

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\Program Files\CasinoOnline <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\Creative mix balm <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\ClearSearch <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\Q330994.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\svchost.exe <= NOTE: the real one is here C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe
C:\WINNT\System32\vtghggru.exe
C:\Documents
and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\winlogon.exe

One check to make sure:
Copy the contents of the bold text to Notepad.
Name the file Appinit.bat
Save as type *All Files*
Save on the Desktop.

Reg save "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows" windows1.hiv
ren windows1.hiv windows.txt

Double click on Appinit.bat
This will create a file on the desktop named windows.txt
Post the content please.

Hi harley03,

It is not stupid of you if you can not open notepad. CWS sometimes infect/damages the notepsd.exe files.

First: "unhide" hidden files and folders:
Launch My Computer from the Desktop Icon.
Select View, Details.
Select the Folders button.
Select Tools, Folder Options. Then select the View Tab. Select the Show hidden files and folders radio button is selected
and that the Hide file extensions for known file types check box is unchecked. Once this is done, select Apply and then
Like Current Folder (located near the top of the Folder Options box). Then select OK.

Then navigate to C:\WINNT\System32\dllcache and copy notepad.exe to C:\WINNT\System32 and C:\WINNT

Then try again.
