Hey there, Hayc59! It was slow for me earlier but for awhile there there was absolutely nothing on either www or www2 and as Marti said the email server also disappeared.

According to my Ping Plotter, it was totally down between 4:08PM and 4:18PM. I was actually cleaning my house at the time :D (something I tend to neglect because I am either there or here and the housework slides). ;)

Both addresses are still very slow for me. And the style sheets are messed up again. All those ugly lines under every link have appeared again.

I suspect part of the goal of whoever is doing this is to drive away users especially those that perhaps haven't been members for very long or who don't spend a lot of time at the site. The perpertrator must like seeing comments over there from some users to the effect that they will give dslr one more day and then that's it...they are taking it off their favorites, etc. :(

 If at all possible, please pull out all resources to find the individual(s) responsible for this, and then seek to prosecute to the fullest major of the law. This sort of thing can not be tolerated in any shape form or fashion, an I urge any an all who can, to seek in finding these scum. I request all companies effected by this sort of stuff, to prosecute each an every time they can. I urge all judges to impose the maximum penalties on those convicted of doing this sort of thing. Feel free to copy an or pass this along to anyone whom you think can aid in this situation.

    Thanks

DSLR is down again. :( Been down for 15 minutes. Surely it is something else and not another DDoS attack.

I noted several days ago that when I run Ping Plotter to dslreports.com that the final hop is no longer dslreports.com but instead the mail server. I don't know if that is significant. So, yes, actually it is the mail server that I am seeing as "down". I was trying to post a reply about Mozilla browser name being no more and it was taking forever. Then I checked my Ping Plotter.

Hopefully Justin, Nil, Steve and the gang can get control over this attack quickly. Getting rather disgusted at the numbers of people blissfully ignorant that their boxes are being used for spam/DOS attacks. What I really can't believe is the folks on dial up not noticing and there were quite a few of those on the IPs they posted last go around.

    This was just posted:

    "Thu Mar 10 20:29:19 EST 2005

We are experiencing temporary difficulties, will be back soon!"

Not sure what this means. I never saw any message during the recent DDoS attack so maybe this is due to some other problem.

DSLR is down again! Been down for an hour according to my Ping Plotter. This is getting awful. At a particularly bad time for me as I have horrible connection/speed problems. I need to access speed test records and do some more tests today. The Speakeasy tests will not show me my speed when I do them because they record to DSLR. I need to do another line test also before my ISP calls back.

I hope this was another equipment problem and not another DDoS attack.

Gee, before posting this I checked again and it was back up....for ten minutes. Down again now.

Nil says it is another DDoS attack and the attacker brought more friends this time. :(

Yes www2 works but very slow. Apparently mail.dslreports.com takes you to the front page.

Geez, I hope these f**kers are caught and ~~SNIP~~

As of Sunday, 2:26 AM, I cannot get to BBR via normal channels or through www2. I guess they are being DoSSED again. I've been trying for 40 minutes now.

Sunday march 13 AM - We apologize for the page loading slowness due to an ongoing DDOS attack. Site tools (speed tests and so on) are currently disabled.

    sash :)
