Bad sides of CloudBased Antivirus software?

    Yes, I (mostly) agree -- a company will seek to build the brand through its marketing, of course. However, that does not necessarily mean that the marketing materials are “invalid” or “worthless.” It simply means, as you say, that such content should be considered in a larger context that includes other perspectives.

    I think you’re right -- but, that is a tradeoff that I personally will never tolerate. The good news is that some of the “mixed” anti-virus products (local signatures/heuristics + “in-the-cloud” capabilities) provide both malware and privacy protection.

    I agree and i 'm all in favour of giving the user a choice and information about what exactly does what. With a "mixed" based product, you are ready to satisfy all kind of tastes.
