Bad experience with Avira Antivir (free version)

    My only problems with Avira Free are the slow update and the nag screen, the rest is great I think :)

    Nag can be disabled! After that it works great. I shouldn't have knock the software in the past. I use to use it when it first came out back in 2001 prior then stop using the free one. It has come along way since the original author days. Runs like with PC Tools Firewall Plus 5, Geswall and Rising PC Tools added is Spyware Blaster exceptions for firefox.

    Everyone here has their favorite security program to run...

    One thing I would recommend is to avoid getting up in arms about quotes made in the original post. It's important to realize that calling top tier anti-malware programs garbage is not the proper way to do things here.
