    Ya-Hoo! Finally!
    Backup Rules in TI 10.

However, Acronis help forgot to tell us what happens when:

    1. The specified size of the backup location will be exceeded.
    2. When the number of backups is exceeded
    3. When the number of days a backup can hang around is exceeded.

Are we to tell our customers to just wait and see?

Sorry, I'm an idiot. It's right here under my nose

    Backup Rules

Here, you can set the overall limitations to size/storage time for the backup location. When you start backup to a backup location, the selected location will be checked and, if any limitation is exceeded, the oldest backups will be deleted or consolidated (if possible).

    - What is consolidated? That sound like it would be good. And what makes it possible? - Hmmm maybe there is a manual here somewhere.
    I'm using the downloaded trial.

Have you looked in the new Users Guide? I thought it was in there, but I could be wrong, I was looking for something else.

Hmmm, I don't see a .PDF available for TI-10 yet. Pity.

Backup rules are the one feature that makes this a home run upgrade
for my customers, but boy oh boy, I better understand the rules forward
    and backward.

    Patience, patience....

Ok I've looked over the section in the .PDF regarding backup rules and it is only somewhat more enlightening. I would like to know more about consolidation and what I might expect when this happens.

Also it seems as though a rule for 'backup location full" would be most usefull. When it's full (of incrementals as usual), the oldest backups will be deleted or consolidated. I can achive this more or less with the maximum size into the storage space, but "disk full" is easier to think about.

Frankly, deleted OR consolidated worries me. I don't like the word OR without
some further explaination or control over the OR condition on my part.

    - It's my data after all.

Basic rule of thumb is all specified conditons must be met, oldest deleted first until conditions are met.
