Hi, anyone know programs similar to deepfreeze / SD/rollback that allows certain registry retaining..?
deepfreeze allows this but its limited to hkey local machine..
while the program that i want keeps its registry setting in hkey current user..
the program is fences pro from stardock..
its a desktop organizer program fyi..

Im designing for a gaming center, and the problem is that it needs to be updated with games quite often...
what im trying to achieve here is synchronization of fences pro layout, so whenever a change occurs (new shortcut for new games) i can push it to clients from server..
    thanks

You can backup your registry manually through: regedit>File Export. CCleaner asks to backup the registry prior cleaning.

thanks, but thats not what i mean, i know how to backup registry keys.
the problem is that im working with hundreds of pc, and each of them is deepfreezed..

and i need to change certain registry keys quite often..
so my option would be to sync that registry key from a server to clients
, while maintaining the freeze state for each machine..
and i cant find the program that does this..

CCleaner only backs up the registry entries of the entries it is going to clean... not the whole registry.

Take a look @ KLS Backup Pro. You can backup specific registry hives and/or specific keys. Yes, KLS Backup runs on Win Server or client.

You'll probably have to get creative with how you would keep those changes sync'd between client PC's.
