I recently added (2) LaCie Ethernet Disk mini's to our small network. Very fast and very affordable drives. No drivers, craptastic software to load, etc.

Using TI9 I can easily backup drives TO the NAS. Is there a way to backup one NAS to another using TI ? Since it is configured as a network drive, it isn't "found" during the source selection. Target selection isn't a problem.

I was hoping to use TI to create images of one NAS to the other.
    Thanks.

TI can't image NAS devices. In order to perform an image backup of a network attached device, TI has to have software installed on the device.

If you're using the NAS devices for backup storage, then you'd probably be better off just copying the files from one NAS to the other. If you're copying TIB files, I would also recommend that you run a Validate on the copy and make sure it transfered intact.

    Hello bgalm,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please notice that MudCrab is correct. Acronis True Image Home can only image local drives; it cannot get exclusive access to network locations. You can create file/folder based backups of network locations, but they might sometimes fail due to the network files being occupied by another processes.

You can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image 9.0 Home in the respective User's Guide.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
