    Three Questions

    1) Can/should the recovery capsule be defragged.
    2) What could be the reason why the capsule is in FAT16?
    3) I deleted archives in the capsule, BUT gained no space?

    1) It is hidden partition and can't be accessed by third-party tools. In general, there is no need to defrag it.
    2) How did you determine that it is FAT16?
    3) How did you delete archives?

    Thanks for the reply.

I will answer #2 and #3 and wait for more information on #1.

    2) By looking at the PBR_10 screen see attached jpg
    3) By using the PBR_10 archive delete instructions vendor provides.

    2) According to screenshot, Backup Capsule is not FAT partition, is just has alike color.
Capsule is NTFS, but it is marked as Backup Capsule, to avoid third-party tools access.
    3) Please browse Backup Capsule from Volume Explorer and make sure that archives are deleted physically. If they are still there, it means that option to delete them physically was not enabled.
