If I restore my computer to a previous state, say last september, does that eliminate the more recent backups done this year?

In otherwords, if backing up to a previous state doesn't solve my problem, can I restore it back to today, the most recent backup?

Or will I lose my more current backups?

    Thank you for your help.

Restoring a backup image to a partition will overwrite that partition with the contents of that backup image.

As long as your other backup images are not stored on a partition you are overwriting - they will stil be available for you.
