NIS 2006 on XP PRO found 3 trojans:

    Backdoor.Tidserv
    Trojan.Blusod
    Trojan.Fakealert

Norton cannot clean the Tideserv - keeps trying t repair file - access denied even in safe mode.

I think TDSSERV.SYS in windows\system32\drivers is the problem - Norton can't repair - can I just try to delete this in safe mode or use HJT to delte on bootup? Norton does not give the option to quaranteen or delete.

Try a second AV to reapair or delete the file.
    use:
    CureIt or AVPTool
