What do you prefer for a back up medium for your pc?
I'm talking about OS images as well as different types of files.
    Thanks.

A USB External Hard Drive (1 choice) or DVD +R (2 choice gets a little Expensive)

I use a usb2 external hard drive (500GB < $100, terabyte not a whole lot more). I can do full backups until I get tired of them. And verify/restore are one click operations

An external and/or removable hard disk.

Unlike CD or DVDs you don't need special software to put files on a hard disk :D

Some people say that flash media is not stable enough to be trusted with something as important as critical files and backup images.

While I have never attempted to recover a backup image from flash media, I have for several years and literally hundreds of occurrences installed software applications (.zip and .exe) from USB flash drives and have never experienced a corrupted install.
