    Me too. avast! home edition has served me well so if I have to buy it would be avast! pro.

    Lets see, you want only one AV on your system.....

    Any of the following should do fine:

    BitDefender
    NOD32
    KAV (and clones)
    Dr.Web (and clones)

    Currently using Nod32 but will switch to KAV 2006 once it is out of beta...

    NOD32, with Bitdefender 8 Free for monthly superscans. KAV2006 looks interesting, bit KAV has been slow when I've tried it.
