Off topic, but just one post and I will stop after this: Their Antivirus is just that - an AV program; not even a firewall as extra. A secure file eraser is hidden in the settings, disabled by default. My only grievance is that VIPRE is not configured for maximum security by default (check the settings, you'll see). It's one of the few products that behave exactly the same in every PC I've installed it on and is extremely unobtrusive.
Had to look to see how long ago it was when it was my default AV https://www.wilderssecurity.com/search/71723063/?q=Vipre&o=relevance&c[node]=32&c[user][0]=42977
So now we have an Avira browser, ontop of an AVG and Avast browser, how many AV's have their own browser now?
It makes sense for those vendors to offer browsers, as their AVs are free and their browsers can be used to compel users into purchasing their paid-for solution(s).
If your Windows PC freezes, Avira security software may be the culprit https://www.ghacks.net/2023/12/11/i...s-avira-security-software-may-be-the-culprit/ ----------------- Following Microsoft Defender, Avira now freezing Windows at boot with 100% CPU / RAM usage https://www.neowin.net/news/followi...zing-windows-at-boot-with-100-cpu--ram-usage/
