Avira Version 10, when?

why not avira 10 personal + comodo cis?

 

it is possible to change the language in avira personal 10? i use German but i preffer English

Over on Avira's forum they are reporting that version 10 will be released 23 March. English and German version.

 

Even if Free version won't have behavioral protection, will it still have the "combo prompt" for real-time too, or are we stuck with the stone-aged choice of action still? That's actually one reason I don't use it right now as I'm writing this. I really enjoy the approach of the combo prompt which I can use on manual scans...

 

i culdve sworn that at the start of the Avira ProActive behavior blocker or w/e its called beta test they said it wuld be included in the free version... but maybe im remembering wrong...?

The real name is Combined Notification - I just didn't recall it at the time. I'm giving the current version a chance and we'll see if v10 brings some great new stuff to the free version as well.

Where are the settings for the AntiVir ProActiv in the release candidate version? I looked through the configuration panel and the menus without success.

 

if you have a 32 bit os you'll find it in the guard configuration.
proActiv is not available for 64 bit os.

The AntiVir ProActiv is only an av function is it ? I mean: it has not HIPS features such to be in conflict with an installed HIPS ( CIS, Malware Defender..... ) ?

No wonder I didn't get the ProActiv to work because I didn't do a custom install first. So do I have to uninstall the Release Candidate and download the official version 10 when it comes out next week or so?

 

you do not need to uninstall it, but it is recommended to do so.

well as far as i can tell it is a behavior blocker and id suggest not using any other HIPS alongside it unless specifically stated, at least thats how i see it atm.

 

i wonder why they didnt include the proactiv in there personal version,

i dont know i just see avast free had it and not avira.

 

Any screenshots of behav blocker in action? Or it,s just silent like the one in Avast?

Thanks, as I believed. Actually I use Avira personal and CIS 3,14 ( only HIPS/fw, no av enabled ). I think that is possible to disable in Avira the BB.

 

i thought the personal version didnt have the BB? now it does?

 

AntiVir ProActiv is only present in Premium versions, not in Personal.
