If malware that Avira detects Protection Cloud bases are added to Avira free or premium (VDF)?

Yes, newly found malware will be added to the VDF and generic detection.

It checks locations which are typical for malware infections. So it is a quick system scan.

Not likely as this is just a tiny beta client to test the cloud technology. The cloud technology will be added to the regular Avira products later on.

Will there be any settings, such as Do not upload any unknown files? ;)

Yes, that will be an option when the technology is integrated into the regular Avira products. But keep in mind that you only get a *very* limited improvement in detection without the uploads. We will not upload every unknown program but have a local preselection to only upload files that are potentially dangerous.

Did not work for me. Said that it could not connect to the Avira servers and to check my internet connection. However I do have an internet connection.

EDIT: Reboot fixed it. Looks like 12 files were uploaded.

Is the sample collector implemented in current products?

If you want to be a beta tester of course you need to register like pretty much all of them.A Very short painless registry process.Be a beta tester for F-secure and see the long form one needs to fill.

Netframe is no biggie IMO, I never had a problem with it but everyone has there opinions and experiences.:isay:
