Sofar I have been using KIS v.7.0.0.125
Updating to a later built of v.7 is causing my pc to slow down, so I stuck to
    built 125.

Updating to KIS2009 is causing a reboot when launching an application.
    No problems with v.7.

Tried a few re-installs of KIS2009, after thorough cleanup of v7 using Kaspersky's removal tools,
    but still the problem remains.

Have reported the problem, but donot expect they will be able to fix it (a problem that wasn't there in v7),
so I have to look for another Internet Security suite.

    Am considering:
AVG Internet Security v8 (1 PC: 1 year Subscription EUR 51.74 inc. VAT)
    ESET Smart Security v3 (1 PC - 1 year EUR.54.25 inc VAT)
Avira Premium Security Suite (1 PC -1 year EUR.39,95 euro incl. VAT)

Price is not so relevant - AVG/ESET are 30-35% more expensive.
    (btw Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (1 year : USD.71.34 = abt. EUR.46.00 inc VAT)

    When looking at:
    http://www.virusbtn.com/news/2008/03_13a.xml

Avira and Eset are doing very well.

So I am focusing on these two.
    AVG as a third option.
    I donot want GData.

Have vainly been trying to find further reviews on the latest versions these products.

    Any recommendations ??

    TIA

People should read Sticky posts (at least) before posting in any forum / in any forum section

Okay, I have to confess (shame on me) that I did not read the sticky note.
I did read a few other threads where people advised their views on products.
Have cut down my decision on 2 (max.3) products and specifically on these 2 products I was inviting comments.
Have spent a lot of time on the Internet to try and find decent reviews on the latest versions of these products. Have found some and also a review in a magazine.
Before buying it wud be good to have commens by users that already bought either one of the products.

But, fair enough, I can see it might end up in an endless discussion...;)
