    It is very official.;)
You can find it as "Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 (proactive test) June 2007" if you scroll down in "Comparatives" page.
I don't see a single reason for IBK to be unhappy.o_O
I respect his work and I trust those results.:thumb:

Edit : Ronjor , deleting my screenshot is not fair.
We can find in this forum hundreds of screenshots with tests , comparatives , etc , from different sites. Are you going to delete all of them ,or those are not copyrighted ?

If you're testing PE Premium, you've obviously overlooked the "Scheduler" tab. You can have it update every 15 minutes if you choose to.

Per CPU usage, what else would you be doing on your machine (or would want to be doing) while scanning files?

As for it being cheap, there is nothing cheap about a 99.45% detection rate.

    Re: Avria Antivirus

A few things need inproving on Avira (not virus detection), It is not user friendly enough and needs a facelift; Why does it say the "do system scan now" if the scan has just completed? The 15 minute scheduler must be default, not an option.

Many people don't leave machines on 24/7 so a scan IS going to happen in the evening when you are working on it.

Click the scheduler tab and you can set updates and scans any time you want and as frequently as you want...

    Re: Avria Antivirus

After clicking on Scheduler, click on the fartherest left icon (insert new job) and you can have Avira check every hour. Since Avir updates on the average of five times a day, I think checking once an hour is more than sufficient. You can set the job to be silent also if you want.

You can easily get rid of "that huge popup" in the free version, just search this forum for past posts on avnotify.exe and so on, the cure depends on the OS involved. But any HIPS that let's you block executables will easily stop avnotify.exe from running and that's what generates the popup.

Actually it's 2nd because webwasher and g-data is using multiple engines from other av's. I would consider avira 2nd and bitdefender 1st. Also webwasher uses avira's engine as one. :)

    Hi,

I am not so sure this is true now with Kasperky V7 latest heuristic module (I have seen on Virus Total eg Heur.downloader etc) as I think there heuristics has much improved.

    Cheers

Avira anti-Virus Personal Edition Classic is not totally remove the virus for example the vbscript Avira detect the script virus and delete but after an hours detect it again unlike in Kaspersky once delete the script virus and the script virus cant pop up again or detect again because its deleted :)
