I 've just had a big update from Avira and it keeps alerting Ad Muncher as a trojan. It also detects something when starting Firefox. Anybody else experiences these alerts?I have Ad Muncher 4.73 beta.

I also noticed that. For sure FP...Put admuncher.exe to the exclusion.

ShadowDefender as well: DefenderDaemon.exe and Commit.exe

Something I have always disliked about Avira is that when you actually choose the option to "Ignore" it'll just go on denying for ever. I have informed Avira, and as suggested by osip, if one excludes the files everything goes back to normality.

the admuncher FP is flagged as a virus, but the shadowdefender one is listed only as suspicious, so i guess its beign detected by the extended threat categories. just send the FP's to avira, they shuld have it solved quickly.

I got it too. I had my Heuristics cranked all the way up though.

I've just realized that my heuristic was on high too, it's on medium from now on. But I'm disappointed. Quite frankly one update has wrecked havoc on my computer. I reported the FPs to Avira and I had an automated answer the same day, stating that the files are CLEAN, whereas they were submitted as FPs.

I'll pass it this time, next devastating update and I'm back with Eset.

Sorry for the FPs. XPACK.Gen was updated for Waledac/Zhelatin/Storm and the heuristic rule that caught PunkBuster was added to catch W32/Virut. My my, why everyone must use custom made cryptors for their commercial software? o_O

I didn't mean to be rude. I know that these things have happened to other companies, and in some instances there were serious consequences. Everything is fine now.
