Avira 10 Auto Updates ?

No, I tried v9 a few months ago ... I'm testing avast and Panda

 

can u pm and tell me how is avast cause avira for now really embarrasses me with this update thing doing it manually. it is not a big deal tho

What the ... there are no qurdians on the jails in Germany on hollidays?
Than explains, why I didn't get any response from Avira Forum for this issue.
So if they are not so manny available updates over the weekend, that should make me feel better?

 

I am reading Avira Forum also, but I have no feedback and I see most of the replies to similar update problem from "Comunity Members" are: send us HijackThis or HijackThat

 

dont mind that answer - they dont really have a clue why the update is denied.
the hjt log may help them but why worked v9 before without trouble and now v10 fails?

I fail to see how would HTJ log help for completely clean systems... which all fail for me with the bundled update function. The scheduler works fine. Definitely a bug in SW and far easier debugged looking at the source code than wild guessing by some unrelated logs.

I had a problem with mine not updating too. I ended up fixing it by going into IE's Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and making sure Automatically detect settings box is checked. For some reason mine was unchecked. It may or may not help to restart your computer for everything to work.
