    Well, I concur here.

All the mess could have been avoided if they had just gave you a refund when it was requested, regardless if the product was working or not. This also goes for every av vendor out there.

Who knows what "special terms" policy they are applying in your case :cautious:

RESET THE WINSOCK-INPUT AND OUTPUT INTERFACE BETWEEN THE WEB BROWSER AND THE DATA LEVELS OF THE TCP PROTOCOLS-

RUN PROMPT TYPE-"NETSCH" THEN TYPE "WINSOCK RESET" SHOULD WORK

Re: AVG 2013 Internet Connection Problem solved - AVG network filter driver

I have just discovered why my Internet connection wasn't working. I went through all sorts of permutations with drivers for two different USB WiFi adapters, and an Apple AirPort.

Set-up is BT Infinity 1 Home Hub 3 (WiFi off) wired directly to a D-Link WiFi router to which WiFi and cabled devices connect.

Laptop (Windows 7 32-bit Professional) has internal WiFi which connects to the D-Link. Workstation (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate) does not have motherboard WiFi and has until recently successfully used USB WiFi adapter.

Recently changed the workstation from Microsoft Internet Security Essentials and, in turn, experimented with and then uninstalled ZoneAlarm, Sophos and AVG. Something during this period knocked out the workstation's Internet connection. Reverted to Microsoft ISE but still no Internet connection.

Over period of two weeks, experimentation persuaded me that the USB WiFi adapter had died. Decided to connect via ethernet (onboard) to AirPort. No connection. Went through a host of nVidia drivers and fora. Safe modes and reboots aplenty.

But noticed that making the same (onboard) ethernet to AirPort connection with the laptop worked fine. Eventually did a side-by-side comparison of the Control Panel - Network Connections - Properties dialog. In "This connection uses the following items:" window, I spotted AVG network filter driver.

    That brought me to: http://forums.avg.com/gb-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=218316

I unchecked the box, and Internet connection was restored.

    Simples. Eventually.

Did you have these 3 running in real-time at the same time?

The shortest and easiest way to get out of problem is a system restore.
Fixes don't work and only confuse the issue....uninstall not reliable
