AVG installation help!

    I downloaded AVG free edition. And when I want to install it, it unzip its files, but then ... then it starts installation of VIRUS CHASTER!! How is this possible? I had installed virus chaster once, but no longer anymore. How can I install AVG?

    I have vague memories of this happening when I was using VirusChaser. I too had uninstalled VirusChaser but when I tried to install another AV, VC started its install again.

    If you have VirusChaser still as a file download somewhere on your hard disc, remove this and then see if AVG installs then.

    I hope this works.
