AVG anti-virus software mistakes Windows system file for a trojan

    I agree. No way i would recommend AVG to anyone :doubt:

    I think they have improved a lot, its my opinion.

    And I mentioned trusted/whitelist approach in CIS. This also helps in reducing FPs & protecting from FPs.

    For example, if you use program X. You run program X & it is either in TVL or cloud whitelist so program X is registered in trusted lists. Now after few days if program X is detected as FP by Comodo AV, you will be safe from this FP as program X is in your trusted lists. So whitelisting in Comodo also helps reducing & protecting from FPs.

    And once Valkyrie is implemented in cloud it will help a lot in FP reduction.

    Seems like Rising Security faced the same issue with Rising Antivirus a couple days ago also. A lot of major FPs lately hopefully all vendors decide a whitelist of all core Windows Files from a base install of Windows would be a good idea.

    Absolutely. There is NO reason for this kind of false positive.
