AVG 8.0 [Web shield driver is not found]

How do I fix it?

I use Vista, assuming that helps at all.

which version of avg are you using? for example antivirus,antivirus plus firewall or secuirty suite and what build?
and which vista version? for example basic,home premium business ultimate
what type 32bit or 64bit?
have you installed it and it websheild failed to start right away?
or has it worked in the past and now refuses to work and gives the error?
not much came up on a google search.

i asked the build number to make sure you have the lastest build.
i reccomend downloading the lastest released build from there website link

im sure other people will have some ideas on what else to try.

btw the service pack 1 version of avg just came out in beta and works great should be released soon and hopefully will solve your issue.

 

Antivirus 8.093, ultimate, 32bit, and yes. I downloaded it today, so I'm confident that I have the latest version. Of course, I found this website when I did the google search myself, so it'll obviously yield little in the way of results.
