I know one of the things the free version of Avast lacks is advanced configuration options, but to what extent? I'll be running it with Outpost Pro firewall and have always told the AV software to ignore elements of the FW software and vice versa to prevent constant logging/HDD activity. it looks like such basic file exclusion is possible, but what then is missing compared to the professional version?

yeah, saw that... what I couldn't ascertain is what configuration options are in the "enhanced user interface" that would be missing in the free version (if any)?

Dont know. But i guess there are more options for the additional features. Dont they have a demo of the Pro version? Install it in VirtualBox and see what options are there.
