Good Evening ! The sandboxing is still very poor at best. I reinstalled my Avast I.S. 2012 last night and tried sandboxing both Chrome and Internet Explorer 9...and Opera...no go. And then uninstalled it...and when it reached the point of the Sandboxing it stopped cold. I had to use the Avast uninstall tool and Revo Uninstaller...both semi effective. I then did a System Restore...that returned my system to a useable state. I know everyone's system reacts differently. So maybe Avast will rectify the bugs with in Sandboxing hopefully sooner than later. I'm currently using Panda's Virtual Browser in composing this response...and it's works flawlessly on my system...it's included in Panda Security 2013...using Sun's Virtual Box...so far very pleased. All the best too Avast in their efforts. Sincerely...Securon

The Auto Sandbox feature has worked well for meh but it only kicked in once. Personalleh, I feel that Sandboxing is over the limit for meh as I only go to well known sites and have legit software (no cracks whatsoever) but I see what you mean if you're into teh $4nd60x!ng th!ng

Actually Auto Sandbox is only used for analysis in avast!. It will run the file in it, analyze it and then release it to the user if not found malicious.
I just wonder if they have extended the deetctions in it because in the past it hasn't really detected much inside the actual Auto Sandbox.

Does the user have an option to keep the file in the sandbox if they want to? If not, can an unknown/unrecognized file be set to untrusted or quarantine?

    Hi Securon,

Sounds like a compatibility issue with something installed on your PC.
What exactly do you mean by "no go"? The browser wouldn't start at all? Or it would crash? Or something else?
We would definitely like to resolve the issue you're having, but I'm afraid we'd need a bit more info in order to be able to reproduce it here.

    Thanks
    Vlk
