Would you reccomend getting Avast Bart CD ? I know I do have very good and adequate protection on my PC's and all my AV software is NOD32 with other good 3rd party security software eg firewall, antispyware etc, but is it worth getting Bart CD.

Now I believe that Bart CD actually runs off the CD if I'm correct hence it's name) but if its on CD how do you actually update the dat files in it ? It's not the case where if it's on a HDD you can actually write to it.

I have to pay € 153,51 for this Bart CD --- no, thanks.
Then I will use a Knoppix CD and bind a free AV. It´s the same result and free.
I would go with Avira Rescue System
