Avast 5 RELEASED

    Actually, I just did a quick scan and shortly after the scanning began it shot to 96% and stayed there for the rest of the scan until shortly before the end, when it inched to 100% and ended. I realize something wasn't right, but as I watched the files zip by during the scan I knew it was progressing as it should even though the progression bar was screwed up.

    Hi :)

    Did a quick scan this afternoon.
    Sat watching it for a few minutes.. Until it got to 8%
    Thought.. " God this seems to be taking longer than last time "
    Walked into the kitchen - & - Heard.. Ding Dong! " You scan has completed " .. Or Whatever It says! :D

    Have Noticed Though...
    All avast scans take longer at the beginning than at the end.
    And Apparently...
    The reason it takes a while before avast scans go from 0% to 1% ... Is coz the rootkit and memory scan run first.
    And they aren't counted into the % :rolleyes:
