    I've recently used both ESET Nod32 and NIS 2012 on the same hardware (but restored to a clean image in between), and I'd say NIS deserves the "5" rating in Usability.

    av-test really has a problem with Avira.

    I'll have to find out why :D

    Yeap...Kaspersky has been on the rise!
    BitDefender has been impressive, too! :thumb:

    if you're on vista or win7, use resource monitor. the i/o columns in taskmgr are mostly useless. might also not be a bad idea to take ZA free talk to a thread about it rather than using this one.

    ZoneAlarm Free did an amazing job. 5.5 for both most important points and its free. Firewall is a bit chunky but the AV (Kaspersky) is pretty damn good it seems.
