AV Comparatives

Nope. Was not referring to comodo some of the so called "Old timers" here that do know my views on things or have just been around a wile know what I'm talking about. But I'm not going to bring it up here as we don't need a nother flame war about AV's.

 

Proposal:There is a product excellent also in the product which is not tested.Moreover, the product of low performance is also in the tested product.I propose to divide the tested product into two groups,group-A and group-B.
Two products of the low rank of Group A move a next test to Group B. Moreover, two products of the higher rank of Group B move a next test to Group A.
How do you consider my proposal?

 

Wonder if Vipre will make it in the testing this round?

Sure would be nice. I can't find a lot of reviews for this excellent product.

It would be nice to see Vipre in action, but i highly doubt it that it will be tested.

 

You know its totally up to the vendors if they are tested or not. Kind of makes me wonder about a AV when its unwilling to be put to the same tests others do.

Yet they sit there and promote that they are better then everyone else.

well a common esxcuse is theyre "not ready yet" or theyre working on something atm then they will join...

 

This is a quote from Alex Eckelberry (CEO) recently posted over on our Sunbelt Software Support forums:

We are in touch with the AV-Comparatives folks. Their tests run on a scheduled basis. We hope to see our product in the next testing round.

As far as other tests, I agree, we are working with virtually all the testing organizations, including ICSA, West Coast Labs, and the folks over at VirusBulletin (VB100). For the VB100 test, we expect to be in the December round of testing.

So you should see us showing up in some of these tests shortly.

 

i hope norman can improve their detection in the last av-compatratives testing and released a new version.maybe a beta version at least ~~

 

AV-C Test?

wasnt the AV-C test supposed to be released around mid month or did i just remember it wrong?

Mid month, but i wonder if most 2010 products will be included in the tests.

According to the AV-C blog, Andreas will be at the Virus Bulletin Conference from 23-25 September. Hopefully, the AV-C September test results will be published before then.

 

Now that the test is out, we'll bring this month old anticipation thread to a close and start fresh with a discussion thread.
