    Meaninless? So many malwares attacks and modify windows firewall component, making a outbound rule without any notification. Some malwares does it during deep in the boot stage, some during login etc.
    Somethin like Avira, relies on the Windows Firewall. F-Secure/Trend Micro does have their own "firewall" which is, basically cloud lookup to their "malware" sites list.
    That's why its recommended to use third party firewall, that's not based on stupid windows firewall and its bypassing methods where many, many malwares targets way or another.
    Segment your network, even on same network, you dont want to see your friend PC. If youre on the critical network, disable all network protocols to any PC's on the same network in COMODO FIREWALL.
    Like i did. If one gets infected ransomwares, its hard to infect whole networked computers.
