YES !! A very happy customer of TRUSTPORT WORKSTATION here!

Perhaps not the most famous, be regarding the test certainly THE BEST !

Hopefully it will now get the credits it deserve.
It has proven again, that it can find more malware then all other products.

Best test results at the previous ON-Demand test, top3 place at the last restrospective test, and now .. again the best!

    :D

    COOL! :D
P.S. I just take these tests with interest, I don't use it as my deciding factor you know. :)

    Thanks for your efforts, IBK.

Two 'advanced +' engines incorporated within my AV. What else could i ask for?

well the fact that the second engine adds around 1.2percent detection?
imo for a home user there isnt a need for multi engine av's epsically as shown in the test doesnt provide enough extra detection to justify the proformance hit.
my one advanced plus engine is fine with me:D

Good job for Avira that keeps itself up in all tests. :)

1,2 percent detection makes quiet some difference if those 1,2 % are actually made of lets say 3000 pieces of malware... I's not all that small number even if percentage itself looks funny...

Maybe that's good enough for you but i realized that i need this 'extra' engine in my 'real world' ;)
In the other hand, that +1.2% of detection from the 2nd engine it's just for this test.

It's always welcome, things can get better :)

Correct, but it is even worse, Kaspersky versus TrustPort is a difference of more then 26 thousand ! samples.

But the number of samples tested where about 1.68 million.
If you know that the current number of malware that exists is about 4.5 million.
That is about 2.68 times as much.
So. you can expect that there are 2.68 x 26000 = about 70 thousand pieces of malware that there are out there that it can not find.
Two of the best three antivirus products, have multi-engines.
(Gdata and TrustPort) only Avira which appears to be the antivirus
that can find the most malware with one engine is an single engine solution.

For me it is clear, the test proofs, one antivirus engine is not enough!

It was AVG Anti-Malware that was tested.

Open the pdf report and then find the word note.

AVG 8 has a rewritten engine, so it may score higher than AVG 7.5 AM

From my info gathering AVG8 is what AVGAM used to be. I can't found a download anywhere for AVG AM 8, yet AVG8 has the detection capabilities of the last AVGAM.
