It's the 10th now. Come on! I hope the results will not get released right before midnight.

Assuming he refers to PST, it's GMT -8.

The message says "around 2 PM" (~ 2 PM). How much latitude should we give for an "around" statement? Is 2:15 OK, what about 2:30?

    nahhh, I'm kiddin' :D :D

it is what it is, so just be patient & in the whole of things will it really make a difference in what you currently use? Or is this just 'I told you so' kind of thing?, I mean chart the past years results, the top 3 will be there I'm sure, they'll be one big one the will jump up & one that drops to shocking levels...sorry but that's how it is but I can wait till whenever I won't chg my av of choice...

Some of us are eager to see the results to do analysis and observations, not to change/bash/praise AVs :shifty:

yeah, i just need some more time (and give some more hours to vendors to report possible mistypos). Releasing it at night also prevents that "some peoples" run to a store to buy a product just due the results without thinking and sleeping at least one night over it  :D

why run out , heck they probably have a credit card before they get to the site so they can buy & download, I'll bet Kaspersky always has good sales around the time of the release ;-)

I am not going to comment on the favourites but the difference in results for Sophos between this test and the latest AV-Test.org test is really quite remarkable

All is fine :) But you got me intrigued about that joke.
To make things clear, I wanted to say that I don't change/bash AVs based on AV-C or other tests (I don't even use realtime AVs to begin with) but I'm eager to see the results because I like to perform in-depth analysis. For example, the general "low" performance in script and other-type malware.

funny that's the 2 areas I look at as well, it seems it keeps some from scoring better, see AVG & Avast scores in those respective areas...Avast doesn't surprise me as it's always working to improve, it makes you wonder how good 4.8 will be and on AVG how good 8 will be if they get the scanning fixed...

Mcafee yet again receives mediocre detection rate, but the results are balanced out. Quality!

Great... I'm glad I switched over to Avira Premium Security from Nod32 (month ago). So far Avira seems to be in the top three for most test results!

Avira with SafeSpace is all I need.
