OK so Panda, Win Defender and Norton produced way too many false positives. But luckily most AV's except for Trend Micro could easily block most of the 10.000+ malware samples. It would still be nice to know which malware some of them failed to block though, what was so special about those samples.

Apparently only the Norton engine, the Bitdefender engine (Vipre, Total Defense, but excluding G-Data), and of course, ESET itself do not detect the ESET package as malware.
That's 12 of 17 (70%) of commercial products that do not 'like' ESET.
That in itself almost convinces me to buy ESET.
