    Goodday,

For a customer I'm trying the Acronis TrueImage Enterprise Edition 9.1
I have two identical machines ServerA (online) and ServerB (standby).
ServerA and B are HP Proliant servers.
I've extracted an Image from ServerA and restored it to ServerB.
I'm not using universal restore because the servers are identical in hardware.
Whenever I try to boot from the newly loaded image on ServerB, it hangs after "Attempting to boot from C:\" in the POST. It will not continue after this message.

Is this a known issue or is there something else that needs to be done?

    hi folks,

i got a very similiar problem

    TI 9.1 Server

    hp proliant ml110, sata controller,
2 x 200gb drives running sata hardware raid1 (onboard adaptec controller)

sbs2003 installed, backupimage of the bootpartition created

after some days i have problems, and need to recovery the image

i start the recovery in windows, TI drops to dos mode (bootpartition!), and image is recovered .. no big deal

    but server doesnt start,
    drive c: is unreadable .. press ctrl-alt-del

i try to recover from TI 9.1 bootcd
and i cannot select the bootpartition of the raid1 ..
since acronis keeps showing me 2 single drives with 3 partitions on each
rather than the configured and well working raid1 drive

    what can i do ?

    greetings mike

    ok, i tried hard ..

and found out .. when i recover the raid1 image to the 1st of the 2 "single" drives
(what should still be raid1).. TI skips after about 50% .. and says :
    DONE no error no msg

then i tried to recover the image to the 2nd "single" drive partition 1

    and TI runs through !!
    ... reboot .. and sbs 2003 starts
system runs without problems, recovery was finally successful

no idea if my raid1 is ok, the controller says : healthy and verified

    i' ll keep you posted

    mike

p.s. anyone else with this "problem" ?
maybe common problem with 2 port adaptec onboard ctrl ?

I think I found the error. The Array configuration wasn't exactly the same.

I did the same thing Mikedien did and it works (The server boots normally and the OS is loaded).
The boot controller on my HP proliant Servers are on different Ports.

    ServerA:
Logical Drive 1 on Port 2
Logical Drive 2 on Port 1

    ServerB:
Logical Drive 1 on Port 1
Logical Drive 2 on Port 2

I will boot ServerB from Smartstart CD and change the boot controller and restore the images. This should work I think.

    Thank for your replies.
