Hi.. Does anyone has any idea about how to remove Symantec Client Security (SCS) ver. 3.0 from a workstation after its parent server is missing?? Cause everytime i tried to uninstall it using WinXP add remove it keeps asking for a password, and the former administrator has long gone.. I've tried SymNRT but it didn't work... I hate installing Windows XP and its application all over again.

Your help will be very appreciated..
    Thanks in advance

If needs be send an email over to Symantec, their support is very good these days and you should get a reply the same day.

This might be worth a try: http://www.gtopala.com/
No install, run direct from desktop or a folder.
Open it, click "secrets" about a third of the way down. It might well show the password. Or some tweaking may be required, eg taking ownership of the folder concerned in safe mode first.

PS, this tool shows a true wealth of information, far more than I can use (yet). (And for some time to come.)
So perhaps worth having anyway. Very comprehensive, not necessarily always accurate, though.

Once the Server is removed, you merely need to flick off the switch on any Clients.

    Regards~
