[Ask]Problem w/ ESET Firewall

Hi, I'm having this strange problem w/ my Eset Firewall.
When I'm using Interactive Mode, the pop-up screen for incoming/outbound connection seem always appear so late that the application asking for the connection already response w/ "time out".
When I changed to ESS 5 the problem still continue (so I assumed that the problem is w/ my notebook not the ESS).
I'm running Windows XP Professional SP 2 on my notebook btw.
Does any1 ever has this kind of problem??

Create a rule so that the firewall allows the connection automatically without prompting you or switch to learning mode for a while so that rules are created automatically.

Just kinda lost and curious why that happens
