Dr. Web has fallen way behind the curve- they have simply been out distanced by their competition. They have an antiquated GUI and a scanning engine that is as slow as watching paint dry. I have eliminated Dr. Web from my AVs- it is simply not up to par with better AVs.

I dont think bunkhouse is a pure basher, hes an old fan that feels dissapointed n noone should blame him for it but indeed it might be offtopic.

Having owned three major computer firms, I can assure you I am not a basher. Yes my comment was off-topic, but there have been assurances that a new beta with many new features would be forthcoming. We have not seen that reality- yet.

I would gladly go back to Dr. Web as my main AV if they innovate with a new GUI and faster scanning speed plus decent detection and very good heuristics.
That has been mostly promised- but we'll need to see tangible proof.

Having made some money in marketing, I can tell you that if you promise loyal users something and then delay, delay, delay...you risk losing your customer base. That clearly is a risk right now.
