Are specific rules (.rie) useful ?

    Hello,

    I use the enhanced ruleset and I would like to know if the specific rules (.rie) were useful.

    - Do they really strengthen security ?
    - Are they essential to make some programs work properly ? (eMule, FTP clients and so on...)
