    Hello doolqi,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We regret to inform you that if you use a password to protect an image, it's impossible to restore an image without the password.

If you want us to change the behaviour of Acronis True Image in any way or add some new features to this product, please feel free to post any of your suggestions in Acronis True Image WISH-LIST thread.

    Thank you.

I'm really sorry to hear that you have forgotten the password. As Tech Support said, there is no simple workaround.

I suggest you try to relax and think back to what you were doing and what else was happening in your life when you made the backup to help you remember the password you chose. Write down any possible passwords. You can try as many as you want.

It may help to repeat the image creation process up to where you enter a password to see if that nudges your memory.

If you give yourself some time, the password will come back to you, and you will recover not only the image but your life. The password is in your memory, you just need the right conditions for it to come to the surface.

If you are a religious person, this is a good time for meditation and prayer.

If you are contemplating suicide, forget it. The Acronis Restore process won't work on that.
