    Hi,
Recently I've had problems with applications closing down without warning. Mostly I noticed it with Office applications and also with Google Chrome. It got to the point that they would shut down seconds after starting up. I thought it was an operating system problem (XP) then the wireless keyboard and/or mouse and I even re-installed these applications but these didn't help. I think I've tracked the problem down to Nod32's HIPS module. As soon as I shut this down and restarted my computer the problem has gone away. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. Any ideas?

Submit an issue ticket to ESET. This is a common problem in the V5 engine.

Thanks. I've contacted ESET as suggested.
