    "Illegal" is an extremely nuanced concept :eek:

    And "national security" is such a get-out-of-jail-free card ;)

    Well Dripa is unlawful, and it seems even more likely that the cases currently on the go against GCHQ will have a reasonable chance of demonstrating unlawfulness, following the Ecj ruling on safe harbour, - rather obviously what they've been doing is not-proportional (as well as unethical and unconstitutional), it just takes the wheels of justice moving at a snails pace - and the UK government ignoring it as they did with the NDNAD, and then possibly scrapping the HRA.
