My ancient 2009 Asus eeePC had a nice built in slider cover. Very handy. Haven't seen it elsewhere. Mrk
Strange that others didn't think of this. I do believe that with some HP "All in One" desktops you can hide the cam also. https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/4/16845138/lenovo-thinkpad-2018-models-pricing-features-ces-2018
Yes, I've used universal covers like this, but they will probably be too thick for MacBooks as well. If Apple made one themselves specific for Macbook, they could solve that problem and the covering up of the ambient light sensor.
Well, the Lenovo laptop looks good to me, it should be standard on all laptops if you ask me. Here's a few pics on a Dutch site: https://tweakers.net/reviews/7960/lenovo-ideapad-5-15are-ryzen-5-4500u-presteert-uitstekend.html
Seems like it really is quite a good idea to get yourself a laptop or desktop with webcam privacy shutter, and it should also be implemented on smartphones. Because even the "good guys" may spy on you.
