Microsoft already owns so much of the market its hard for them to grow. They own 90% if the OS market while Mac owns ~4%.

Mac share can only go up. MS made more than 15 billion dollars more than Mac. Mac really isnt ahead of anything.

Ultimately, what really matters financially talking is the Forbes ranking.

A look at the ranking positions of the leading companies from the software & services industry:

    IBM is ranked # 33
    Microsoft is ranked # 49
    Apple is ranked # 75
    Oracle is ranked # 113
    Google is ranked # 120
    SAP is ranked # 263
    Softbank is ranked # 287
    Accenture is ranked # 339
Computer Sciences is ranked # 485
    Yahoo is ranked # 547

The source is the 2010 Forbes List: Forbes Global 2000 The World's Leading Companies.

And this is without a doubt well deserved for Apple:thumb:
Steve Jobs as lifted this company from basically zero up to where Apple is today from the day he came back to Apple.

And Apple is making mosts of it's money out of the products that starts with
an (i) phone, pad, pod etc....

Whats well deserved? The fact that they are behind MS 15 billion dollars a year or the fact that they still dont own more than 5% of the market? Sounds like they are doing great.
