Well, most people are sane, rational individuals and can make simple decisions when provided with evidence such as "it was only recently added" and "it's to extend battery life".

The only complaint that can be made here is that it should be an option, so people can choose battery life vs speed. But user choice was never Apple's strong point.

But yeah, "muh evil apple conspiracies please validate me and my view of life". Lol.

Well if the alternate view of life is to believe everything corporate people say even when they have an obvious motive to be lying...

That depends on whose version you subscribe to. It's more about gullibility, but you're right about Apple and user choice.

Yeah, that's TOTALLY what I said. It wasn't that I was pointing out basic logic or anything, it was that we should 100% trust corporates. Ugh.

Yes I got that, I just don't understand why you think we should trust them.

It would be good if they released firmware, provided the option of not slowing the phone down as the batteries age.

There an interesting video discussing the battery issue on YouTube, from Louis Rossman.

Planned obscelence is prevalent but hard to prove especially when it is a collaborative effort by multiple interested parties who between them create and control the market.

Saying speakers and microphone is faulty when they aren't and asking £250 for it? And why would you need to replace those before replacing battery? Pure scam. You could get a new phone for that money lol.
